Order Quantity and Quotations
What is your minimum order quantity?
For most regular custom hat constructions, the starting MOQ is 100 pieces per style, per color. A 7-panel hat normally starts at 500 pieces per style, per color. Special fabrics, custom-dyed colors, molded components or unusual construction may require a higher quantity. We confirm the applicable MOQ after reviewing the full specification.
Can I split 100 pieces between several colors or styles?
The standard MOQ applies to each style and each color. For example, 50 black and 50 tan hats would normally fall below the standard minimum for both colors. We can review limited color combinations when the construction, fabric and components remain the same, but availability and pricing must be confirmed before sampling.
What information is needed for an accurate quotation?
Please provide the hat style or reference, intended quantity, number of colors, materials if known, logo locations, decoration method, private-label requirements, packaging, delivery country or postal code, and target delivery date. A logo and quantity alone are usually not enough for an accurate full-custom quotation.
What does a quotation include?
A project quotation can itemize the unit price, physical sample cost, artwork or digitizing charges when applicable, decoration, labels, seam tape, packaging and shipping terms. Because each specification is different, the quotation should state what is included and identify any optional or one-time charges.

What should I send to start a custom hat project?
Send the intended hat type, use case, quantity, colors, logo or artwork, decoration locations, destination and required delivery date. Reference photos, sketches, measurements or an existing hat are useful. If some details are undecided, tell us which features matter most so we can identify the decisions needed before quoting or sampling.
Do I need a complete tech pack?
A complete tech pack is helpful but not required for the first review. We can begin with clear reference images, artwork, construction preferences and commercial requirements. Before sampling, the key dimensions, materials, colors, components, decoration and labeling must be converted into an agreed working specification.
Can I send a physical reference hat?
Yes. A physical reference can help us evaluate crown profile, fit, visor shape, panel construction, materials and finishing. It is used as a development reference, not as permission to reproduce another company’s protected branding or proprietary design. Your finished project must use artwork and branding you are authorized to use.
What artwork files should I provide?
Vector files such as AI, EPS or editable PDF are preferred for logos and line artwork. High-resolution reference images can support the review, but they may not be production-ready. Embroidery size, small lettering, line weight and thread colors are evaluated before a sew-out or physical sample is made.
Who is responsible for logo and trademark authorization?
The customer must have the right to use all submitted logos, names, artwork, team marks, school marks and licensed properties. Supplying an image or a reference product does not establish authorization. We may request replacement artwork or decline a project when ownership or permission is unclear.
Physical Samples and Revisions
Is a physical sample required?
A physical sample is strongly recommended for full-custom projects and may be required before bulk production. It allows the buyer to review shape, fit, material behavior, visor construction, closure function, decoration, colors and interior details that cannot be confirmed reliably from a digital mockup alone.
How long does a custom hat sample take?
A regular sample usually takes about one week after the specification, artwork and sample payment are confirmed. Custom-dyed fabric, specially sourced components, complex decoration or changes made during development can extend this time. We confirm the working schedule before sampling begins.
Can the sample be revised?
Yes. Sample feedback should identify specific changes to fit, proportions, materials, color, decoration or placement. We review whether each change is technically workable and whether it affects cost or timing. Revisions are not automatically unlimited or free; the requirement and any additional charge are confirmed before the next sample.
When does bulk production begin?
Bulk production begins only after the approved specification, physical sample, quantity, packing requirements, production schedule and required payment have been confirmed. Changes requested after approval can affect price, timing and consistency, so all critical details should be closed before production starts.
Colors, Materials and Construction Feasibility
Can you match Pantone colors?
Pantone references can be used to communicate target colors for fabric, rope, embroidery thread and selected components. The practical result depends on the material, dyeing method, available stock colors and production quantity. Screen colors and photographs are not reliable approval standards; final tolerances should be reviewed through physical material or sample approval.
Can I request custom-dyed fabric or special materials?
Yes, subject to sourcing and production feasibility. Custom dyeing, suede-like fabrics, special linings, uncommon mesh, custom rope or molded components may carry higher minimums, longer lead times or additional development cost. For lower quantities, an available material or stock color may be the more practical choice.
Can every requested feature be combined in one hat?
Not always. Crown structure, fabric weight, perforation, closure, visor, lining and decoration must work together. A large embroidery may not suit a lightweight or perforated panel, and some components require a higher production quantity. We review the complete construction and suggest practical alternatives when a requested combination is not workable.
Branding and Private-Label Options
Can embroidery be placed on the front, side and back?
Multiple decoration positions are possible when the selected panels and construction provide enough stable area. Artwork size, stitch density, seam position, perforation and fabric support all affect the result. Each placement should be evaluated and sampled rather than assumed from a digital mockup.
What private-label options are available?
Depending on the project, options may include woven main labels, size or care labels, printed or woven seam tape, branded closures, embroidery, woven or embroidered patches, hangtags, stickers and individual packaging. Available options and minimums depend on the hat construction, quantity and supplier requirements.
Can I order hats without an exterior logo but add interior branding?
Yes, this can be considered as a full-custom private-label program. The exterior can remain undecorated while the interior uses approved labels, seam tape or other brand details. The specification, minimum quantity and costs still need to be reviewed because the hat itself is being manufactured to order.
Production and Delivery
How long does bulk production take?
A regular-quantity order usually takes about 30 days after physical sample approval, final specification confirmation and required payment. Public holidays, custom-dyed materials, special components, larger quantities and complex packaging can extend the schedule. International shipping time is separate from production time.
What is the difference between FOB and DDP?
Under FOB terms, the goods are delivered to the agreed port and the buyer or nominated forwarder manages the main freight, import clearance and destination charges. A DDP quotation includes delivery to the stated destination with the agreed transport and import arrangement. The destination country, postal code, quantity and carton details are required for a meaningful DDP estimate.
Can you meet a fixed event or launch date?
We can evaluate the date after reviewing the specification, sample requirements, quantity, destination and shipping method. Work backward from the required arrival date and allow time for sample review, revisions, bulk production and transit. A target date should not be treated as confirmed until the project schedule is agreed.
How is bulk-production consistency reviewed?
Bulk production follows the approved specification and physical sample. Materials, colors, construction, decoration placement, labeling and packing are reviewed against those references. Textile products have reasonable manufacturing tolerances, so critical dimensions and appearance requirements should be identified and agreed before production.
